Scarborough Chess Club Events for Members

The Scarborough Chess Club (SCC) holds Chess Federation of Canada-rated tournaments on Thursday evenings (except July and August). Weekend tournaments are occasionally held. Most events use a Swiss pairing format except for the round robin format used for club championship games. Time controls vary depending on the event. Chess pieces, boards and clocks are provided by the club for the Thursday night tournaments.

As in the inaugural season SCC Grand Prix (2008-09), the SCC is once again recognizing participation and individual achievement through a Grand Prix competition.  For rules and standings, please check out our Grand Prix page.

More tournaments to be announced on an ongoing basis. Check the website regularly.
